Notes: Orginally built as the first track car in 1993 in bright yellow, the car was then road registered in 1995. I purchased the car in march 2006 and it was in need of a fair amount of attention having been neglected for some time. After a comprehensive mechanical overhaul by Luke and Chris Craft, removal of the roll bar and a respray in mica blue with white nose band, mirrors and vents by Andrew Craft, the car is now back on the road and restored to its former glory. The car retains its orginal race style dash, body mounted battery isolator, it also has some engine mods (enlarged to 1040 cc), competition exhaust, latest bilstein suspension and a new enlarged radiator and hoses, currently running Michelin Exalto 2 Tyres. The car is used regularly at weekends and in July 2009 made a road trip to the Nurburgring where several laps were enjoyed followed by a fun drive home on some great deserted roads through Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium and France. 2010 not a great year for the RO18 so far, the 6 speed gearbox is no longer with us after it lost 3 gears and they are like hens teeth and very expensive, so a secondhand standard 5 speed now fitted, whilst the engine was out it was completely rebuilt and transaxle also needed attention, once reassembled the car was put on the rolling road and showed a healthy 143 bhp. Next the coils packed up stranding me at folkstone on the way to the le mans classic... but a quick drive home from the factory now restored my faith, Avon CR28's on the way, and warped rear disks to be sorted.
