Chris Craft was a former professional race driver, predominately in touring and sports cars, achieving considerable success in both fields and was a former European Sports Car Champion with considerable experience at Le Mans. Chris has since pursued an entrepreneurial career, including a successfül development in London's Docklands, as well as venturing into shipping, fishing, furniture and latterly engine and car manufacturer.

The Light Car Company was formed to produce the "Rocket". The "brain-child" of long time friends, Gordon Murray and Chris Craft. Announced in 1992, the car is still being produced in small numbers each year for the utterly discerning car enthusiast. To date, some forty eight cars have been built, or are in the process of being built. Some shipped to car enthusiasts around the world. Gordon Murray's history needs no explaining. Probably now recognised as the premier designer in Formula l, crossing to the road going industry and achieving unrivaled success with his F l Road Car Project.
