This car is now sold. Congrats to the new owner!![]() Please read more to find out more about the history of this very important car. This particular Rocket was original factory car that I bought direct from the LCC Rocket company and carries with all the rocket history, it is also featured in a number magazine articles over the years. Winner of the 1999 Gumball rally and driven by Luke Craft and Dillon Murray the sons of both Chris Craft and Mclaran F1 designer Gordon Murray the two founders of the Light Car Company who produced the Rocket. Holder of the fastest recorded car driven backwards by Autocar 104mph (10 forward speeds and 5 reverse). This particular Rocket is totally unique in its specification in that it is both first and second generation and has had every upgrade available. In addition it has a number of special features that were only fitted to this car that include the addition of a duel oil and water gauge incorporated into the main instrument binnical, a one off free flow competition air filter, thumb pads on the steering wheel, lock out system fitted to the transaxle gear selector to prevent the selection of reverse when traveling forward, side lights incorporated into the main headlights units, aircraft style switchgear with led warning lamps, led fog lamp incorporated into rear engine cover, drivers heel plate, immobilizer and battery charging socket incorporated into main wiring harness drivers head rest, clear wind screen (also have tinted one) etc. etc. Prior to taking delivery of the car I had it totally restored by the factory to which I oversaw the work to ensure that the quality of the work was of the very highest standard and consider its condition to be better than new. This Rocket is unique in that is has not only benefited from the latest suspension system as fitted to the last of the second generation Rockets but retains the superior quality Brembo drilled and vented brakes of the first generation cars (the factory could no longer get the Brembo system when they re-launched the car) My Rocket has only traveled 19 (nineteen) miles since the restoration and comes with tornau cover, selection of spares, built in battery charging connector and charger and car dust cover plus history file. As for the spares I have 2 spare wheels, instrument cluster casings, tinted windscreen, tornau cover, car dust cover, trickle charger with on board charging socket, fuel regulator, carburetor air trumpets spare dash board switchgear plus led indicator lamps, Williams harness pads, good selection of K nuts, instrument bulbs and various other odds and ends plus the original sales literature.
