Rocket displayed at Beaulieu Print E-mail

A Rocket is being displayed in the 'Autoglym Supercars' exhibition in the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu. The car is part of a collection of 15 supercars including a McLaren F1, Ferrari F40 and Enzo, Bugatti Veyron and Jaguar XJ220, to name a few.

We are, ofcourse, investigating which Chassis is on display. If you know more details abbout the car, don't hesitate to drop us an email.

This cars details are:

- Yamaha 1002 cc Four in-line middle engine with 76mm bore, 56mm stroke.
- Double overhead cam, 5 valves per cilinder
- 143hp @ 10.500 rpm
- 5 speed gearbox
- Weight 352 kg
- Rear wheel drive
- Tubeframe
- (suspension in dutch)A-geleiders schroefveren, think it's a wishbone aka A-arm
- drilled brakingdisks
- top speed 230 km/h
- 0-60 in 4.4 sec

So it pretty much is just a Yamaha R1 on four wheels. I think it's bit of a shame that they didn't fit a turbo on that engine to compensate that extra weight.
